Diversity and Inclusion Councils

Comcast and NBCUniversal’s Diversity Councils work to implement, promote and sustain diversity throughout our organization.  


Comcast and NBCUniversal’s Internal Diversity Councils are comprised of senior executives who guide their respective business units in implementing and sustaining successful diversity and inclusion practices, cross-company. They lead by example and consistently work to ensure our company demonstrates a best-in-class culture of diversity and inclusion. Representatives meet regularly to discuss progress on initiatives and ways to strengthen our commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Our innovative external Joint Diversity Advisory Council (JDC), comprised of national leaders in business, politics and civil rights, provides advice to senior executive teams regarding Comcast and NBCUniversal’s development and implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives in the following five focus areas: Governance, Our People, Supplier Diversity, Programming and Community Investment. The JDC includes four, nine-member Diversity Advisory Councils representing the interests of African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanics and women. It also has representatives from other diverse groups, including Native Americans, veterans, people with disabilities and members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

Together, we work to promote diversity and inclusion within the company and in our communities.
