NBCUniversal Transaction Overview
Comcast Corporation, one of the nation's leading providers of entertainment, information and communications products and services, is the owner of NBCUniversal, which owns and operates entertainment and news cable networks, the NBC and Telemundo broadcast networks, local television station groups, television production operations and a major motion picture company and theme parks. Comcast Corporation acquired 51% of NBCUniversal from General Electric and became majority owner of the company on January 29, 2011. Comcast completed its acquisition of NBCUniversal upon its purchase of General Electric’s remaining common equity stake on March 19, 2013.

NBCUniversal Transaction Ombudsman
Comcast has established an Ombudsman for purposes of monitoring compliance with conditions, memoranda of understanding and voluntary commitments related to the NBCUniversal transaction. Interested parties may contact Comcast’s NBCUniversal Transaction Ombudsman at FCC_ombudsman@comcast.com. Matters received by the Ombudsman will be logged, acknowledged, and, when appropriate, an internal review will occur.
Please note that the Ombudsman will not be able to address customer service issues. If you are a Comcast customer with such issues, please contact Comcast.

Each year, Comcast and NBCUniversal file a report describing the implementation of the Conditions adopted by the Federal Communications Commission in the NBCUniversal Transaction Order. The following reports are available:

Comcast is working with community, political and Public, Educational and Governmental (PEG) leaders in each of the five communities selected for this pilot program to see how best to make local programming available on Comcast Video On Demand and Online platforms. The five participating municipalities are: the City of Fresno, California; the City of Hialeah, Florida; the Town of Peterborough, New Hampshire; the City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and the City of Houston, Texas.
